My Picks for Emerging Blogs in 2007
This post is part of the group writing project initiated by Janette Toral. The idea is to highlight blogs published from August 2006 onwards that have gained influence and readership. The object of the project is to list 10 such blogs at the end of the project duration.
Here are my picks
Kikay Exchange (August 2006). I'm low maintenance and no kikay but I love this site headed by Jillsabs for its constant updates and topics for everyone, non-kikays included. There's always a new post. The kikays always seem to be on overtime.
Handcrafted Jewelry by Pia Faustino (November 2006) This site is interesting because it chronicles the development/progress of a young custom handcrafted jewelry designer. As the blog ages, the designer evolves with it.
The D Spot by Dine Racoma (November 2006) Sexy Mom writes about her parenting experience and much more.
Table for Three, Please (March 2007) Unlike other foodie sites, this blog goes beyond usual food reviews. Aside from getting the opinion of not just one but three foodies for a particular restaurant, table guests are likewise invited to share their two cents' worth. It almost behaves like an online magazine as it features interviews with up and coming chefs too.
Eye On DNA (April 2007) I came across this site after participating in a Problogger GWP. Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei has made the genomic revolution accessible to everyone. I've corresponded with her online and she's been very helpful.
The Nepales Report (April 2007) A reluctant blogger, PDI's man in Hollywood Ruben Nepales has finally entered the blogosphere. He is more than pleased with the turnout and his readers more so with his turnaround.
