Stardust

Head to the nearest cinema for a sprinkling of Stardust.

The movie is a fairy tale adventure with some romance, humor, swashbuckling action and special effects. All the characters are here, a damsel in distress, a shop boy who has no idea he's a prince, witches, ghosts, pirates and power-hungry princes. There's some animal action too. And of course, magic.

The story is not at all predictable. One wonders what will happen next as the trailer did not give much away.

The cast were perfect for their roles but it was Michelle Pfeiffer who stood out as the evil witch who ages in the movie.

Another star of the movie is the scenery. It was shot both in Scotland and Iceland which are known for their beautiful landscape.

If you want to be bewitched, see the movie when it shows. (I got lucky yesterday with the sneak preview.)
