Paging Doc Hollywood

One of the professions given valuable airtime by Hollywood is that of the physician. Doctors have been immortalized both in the big and small screen. I want to know what my fellow doctors think about this.

And so I'm hosting the 14th edition of The Blog Rounds called Doc Hollywood. This is the call for entries. I'm inviting my fellow doctors to write from the heart, push the imagination to the max and talk about medicine and the movies or television. The possibilities are endless.

  • React. Do you think doctors are portrayed truthfully? Fairly? Over the top?
  • Rave. Do you like watching shows or movies about doctors? Or would you rather watch something remote from your day job? Are you a fan? Grey's Anatomy or ER?
  • Swoon. Who's the hottest? McDreamy or McSteamy? House, perhaps? Or Christian Troy?
  • Compare. Are the doctors in real life as hot as those on TV?
  • Reflect. Did watching movies or TV shows about doctors influence your career choice? Which TV doctor are you most like?

There are 2 ways to send your entries. Leave a comment or e-mail me at pulsebyemdy (AT) gmail (DOT) com. Please include your blog, post URL and title. Deadline is June 16, 11:59 PM.

C'mon, Doc Hollywoods out there! Start writing! The writers' strike is over.

And if you're not a doctor but have something to say about the subject, you're welcome to join too. Even an ode to McDreamy is acceptable. Remember though to give a brief description of yourself.

Haha! I've been meaning to write about this for a while-- although I do want to limit med-related writing on the site (even as I have an alternate personal site). How fitting that you'll be hosting it! :D

Ooooh, great topic! I'm busy with all the travel preps and my internet has been down - leaving my blog-life languishing. still, i hope i get to write something about this and am looking forward to everyone's contribution!

Manggy, like you I'm keeping the medical posts to a minimum too. The only reason TBR 14 is here is because it's about another thing I love. Entertainment!

Claire, I hope you can join in! Make this a breather from all the travel preps.

Woohoo, I'm in! Buti naman. Nag-epistaxis ako from Doc Mel's theme, LOL (For non-MDs, that's a NOSEBLEED!)

Nice to right about something more light-hearted.... Count me in! (Entry is still gestating though, will just leave a comment when it has already been delivered.)
:)

MegaMom, you won't get epistaxis with my topic. You might get a serious case of palpitations though when you enumerate the virtues of McDreamy.

JA, thanks. Will eagerly await your contribution.

Anakat, thanks!

Merry Cherry, you're welcome. Thank you too for the contribution.

Fellow MDs and others interested, keep the posts coming. And don't worry about the deadline, just let me know and I'll include you in the round-up.

Doc, hehe, this is my uhm 2nd time to join.

Doc Ness, gave sound advice on taking a break from studying, in preparation for a certain exam, that I'll hopefully pass, so I'll be like you guys.

Anyway, thank you for letting me join.

The Blog Rounds 13th edition is up too, in my newly "uncluttered" site, The Orthopedic Logbook. Read the some sort of survey, here.

And please don't forget to vote ( yep, the poll beside my tag board widget, on the second column of my sidebar) about TBR's round up frequency.

The Blog Rounds 12.75 Edition is also up at Meloink's Blog, The Philippine Daily Idiot. Lets get the nosebleed out of PMA!

Lastly, Em Dy's deadline for the 14th edition for TBR (paging Doc Hollywood) is fast approaching. Don't forget to submit your post s for this TBR edition.
