Kitaro Sushi

Even if I know that Kitaro Sushi serves good food, I rarely eat there because I feel that they're quite expensive. The prices are about the same or even more than that of Teriyaki Boy or Kimono Ken but most of their outlets are food court based. Choosing between restaurants with the same food quality and cost, I'll choose the one with ambiance anytime. After all, mealtimes should be relaxing situations.

The times however have changed people's spending habits and establishents' business practices. Kitaro has added value meals to their menu. I ordered 2 such sets last Saturday. One with Chicken Teriyaki (PHP 115) and the other with Pork Katsu (PHP 115). Both came with miso soup, steamed rice, bean sprouts and yakisoba.

I actually hesitated ordering this because I don't really like yakisoba. It turned out to be the best I've tasted so far. I even wished there was more. As for the bean sprouts, they were too salty for my taste.

If ordered together with the meal, iced tea costs only PHP 10.

I hope other establishments will follow suit, innovate and come up with value meals.

Hmm, even then it's still kind of more expensive than Tokyo2 on the whole. But you did intrigue me with your glowing review of the yakisoba :)

Manggy, yes but the food quality is a lot better in Kitaro.
